CHE Fertility Call: Women's Reproductive Health and the Environment

Listen to the audio recording of this call (MP3 Format)

This CHE Fertility teleconference was a discussion about women's reproductive health and environmental chemicals, the second in a series highlighting some of the key scientific findings presented at the January 2007 UCSF - CHE Fertility Summit that took place in San Francisco, California.

We discussed how chemicals such as bisphenol A and pesticides can impact female reproductive health, including ovarian function, egg quality, menstrual irregularities, etc. and how research needs to be improved in order to address many of these issues.

The moderator of this call was Pete Myers, PhD, CEO of Environmental Health Sciences. We also heard a science update from Pete Myers.

Featured Presentaters:

  • Dr. Patricia Hunt, Meyer Distinguished Professor, School of Molecular Biosciences, Washington State University
  • Dr. Pauline Mendola, Branch Chief, Infant, Child and Women's Health Statistics, DHHS/CDC/National Center for Health Statistics
