The Collaborative on Heath and the Environment (CHE) carries out the environmental health initiatives of Commonweal, a non-profit health and environmental research organization, which has generated many remarkable programs over the years. With thousands of partners in 79 countries and all 50 US states, CHE serves a diverse network of scientists, researchers, healthcare providers, citizen advocates, political leaders and others committed to addressing environmental links to human and ecological health problems. These leaders are drawn to CHE’s commitment to advance knowledge and effective collaborative action in the environmental health field.

Your donation to CHE will support the continuation and expansion of these and other important programs:

CHE Teleconferences: These calls are held at least once monthly and provide CHE Partners and the public an opportunity to participate in discussions with leading scientists and professionals in the environmental health field and related sectors, often highlighting new and emerging science and initiatives.

CHE Working Groups: CHE hosts working groups addressing environmental contributors to various health concerns, including asthma, breast cancer, cancer, fertility and reproductive health, learning and developmental disabilities, mental health and Parkinson’s disease. In addition, CHE has also established working groups on electromagnetic fields, integrative health and children’s environmental health. CHE’s working groups expand the dialogue on the environment and health, allowing CHE Partners an opportunity to deepen their understanding of specific issues and contribute to conversations and initiatives on environmental health concerns.

Development of reports and fact sheets: CHE’s publications translate environmental health science into language that is accessible to lay audiences, policymakers and others concerned with improving public health, fulfilling its mission to strengthen the science dialogue on factors impacting human health.
