CHE-Alaska hosted a call on Wednesday, October 11th with Jane Houlihan, research director for Healthy Babies Bright Futures. She discussed the latest science on the effects of exposures to neurotoxic chemicals in the first 1,000 days of a child’s development. She also shared resources that empower people to make healthy, sustainable choices to reduce exposures.

Jane Houlihan, MSCE is Research Director for Healthy Babies Bright Futures (HBBF). Jane is an engineer and prior to joining HBBF oversaw research programs at the Environmental Working Group. For over a decade she conceived of and directed EWG’s popular online product guides, including the Skin Deep cosmetic database, and led national programs on biomonitoring, safer water, and healthy food. Jane is among the founders of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, and serves on the science board of the Breast Cancer Fund.
